UP Government BAMS Colleges Cutoff 2025-26: College-wise Closing Rank, Fees & Counselling Guide

Cutoff is one of the first things a NEET aspirant checks before counselling. It helps students understand whether their rank is close to a government BAMS seat or not. But cutoff should never be seen as a fixed number. It changes every year depending on NEET difficulty level, number of qualified candidates, category, seat matrix, counselling round and student preference.

The 2025-26 cutoff data shared for Uttar Pradesh state quota gives a clear picture of competition in government BAMS colleges under UP AYUSH Counselling. This blog explains the college-wise cutoff, fee structure, counselling process and documents required in a simple way.

What This Cutoff Data Means for Students

The cutoff table shows that State Ayurvedic College Lucknow was the most competitive college in the shared UP state quota data, with a general category closing rank of 39,604. After that, Sampurnanand Government Ayurvedic College Varanasi, Bundelkhand Government Ayurvedic College Jhansi and SRM Government Ayurvedic College Bareilly followed in order of demand as per general category closing rank.

A student should not judge admission chances only from the general category cutoff. Category-wise cutoffs can move differently. For example, OBC, EWS, SC and ST closing ranks depend on category seats and round-wise movement. Sometimes a college may close earlier in one category and later in another category because of choice preference and seat availability.

Why Cutoff Changes Every Year

Many students make the mistake of thinking that if last year cutoff was one rank, the same rank will definitely work this year. This is not correct. Cutoff is only a reference. It can go up or down depending on several factors.

  • Total number of NEET-qualified students applying for UP AYUSH counselling
  • Difficulty level of NEET exam and overall rank distribution
  • Number of available BAMS seats in government colleges
  • Category-wise seat reservation and candidate movement
  • Popularity of a college during choice filling
  • Whether students prefer government BAMS, private BAMS, BHMS, MBBS abroad or other options
  • Round-wise resignations, upgrades and non-reporting cases

Fee Structure of UP Government BAMS Colleges

The fee structure is one of the biggest reasons students prefer government BAMS colleges. In the shared 2025-26 UP state quota data, all listed state government BAMS colleges show Rs. 19,000 per year. This does not mean the student will pay only this amount for everything. Additional charges such as hostel, caution money, examination fee or university fee may be separate according to college rules.

UP AYUSH Counselling Admission Process for BAMS

For the 8 listed UP state government BAMS colleges, admission is done through UP AYUSH Counselling. Students have to register online, pay counselling fee, fill choices, wait for allotment and complete reporting after seat allotment. Direct admission in these government seats is not possible.

  1. Visit the official UP AYUSH counselling portal when registration opens.
  2. Complete registration using NEET details and personal information.
  3. Upload documents as required by the counselling portal.
  4. Pay registration fee and security money online.
  5. Check merit list and seat matrix after release.
  6. Fill government BAMS colleges in your preferred order.
  7. Lock choices before the last date.
  8. Download the allotment letter if a seat is allotted.
  9. Complete document verification and report to the allotted college.

BHU BAMS Cutoff and AACCC Counselling

BHU Faculty of Ayurveda is one of the most popular BAMS options in Uttar Pradesh, but its admission does not come through UP AYUSH state quota counselling. It is included through AACCC counselling because BHU is a Central University route. Therefore, BHU cutoff must be checked from AACCC allotment data, not from the UP AYUSH state quota cutoff table.

Students who want to target BHU should register for AACCC counselling separately, pay the required AACCC registration fee and security money, and fill BHU in the AACCC choice filling round if available in the seat matrix. If a student fills only UP AYUSH counselling and forgets AACCC, BHU will not appear in the state choice list.

Who Has Better Chances Based on Cutoff?

A student with a rank better than the previous year closing rank has a stronger chance, but this does not mean admission is guaranteed. Similarly, a student slightly beyond last year cutoff should not lose hope because cutoff can move in later rounds. The right approach is to participate properly, fill maximum suitable options and keep checking round-wise updates.

  • High-rank students should place BHU through AACCC and top UP state colleges high in choice order.
  • Mid-range students should add all realistic UP government BAMS colleges instead of selecting only one or two.
  • Students near cutoff should participate in all eligible rounds including mop-up/stray vacancy if allowed.
  • Reserved category students should check their own category cutoff, not only general category data.

Documents Required for Cutoff-based Admission Planning

Students should keep all documents ready before counselling starts. During counselling season, many students face stress because their caste certificate, domicile certificate or EWS certificate is not ready on time.

  • NEET UG admit card
  • NEET UG scorecard
  • Class 10 marksheet and certificate
  • Class 12 marksheet and certificate
  • UP domicile certificate for state quota
  • Category certificate if applicable
  • EWS certificate if applicable
  • PwD certificate if applicable
  • Aadhaar card or valid ID proof
  • Passport size photographs
  • Allotment letter
  • Counselling registration slip
  • Fee payment receipt
  • Gap certificate if applicable
  • Medical fitness certificate if required

Conclusion

UP Government BAMS cutoff 2025-26 gives students a practical idea of the rank required for government Ayurveda colleges in Uttar Pradesh. However, cutoff is only a guide, not a promise. Students should focus on NEET score, correct counselling registration, smart choice filling and timely document verification. For UP state colleges, follow UP AYUSH counselling. For BHU, follow AACCC counselling. This simple clarity can save students from major counselling mistakes.
