BAMS stands for Bachelor Of Ayurvedic Medicine And Surgery

  • BAMS is an undergraduate program in which you study about Ayurveda and how you uses it in the treatment of patients.
  • BAMS is a 5.5 yearlong bachelor degree course which includes 4.5 years of academic sessions and 1 year of internship.
  • To study BAMS course in Indian colleges/universities, students should clear Class XII in Science stream with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) subjects.

BHMS stands for Bachelor Of Homeopathic Medicine And Surgery

  • BHMS is an undergraduate program in which you study about Homeopathic Medication (practically & theoretically)
  • BAMS is a 5.5 yearlong bachelor degree course which includes 4.5 years of academic sessions and 1 year of internship.
  • Homeopathy is one of the fastest-growing professions offering global career opportunities.
  • To study BHMS course in Indian colleges/universities, students should clear Class XII in Science stream with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) subjects.

BUMS stands for Bachelor Of Unani Medicine And Surgery

  • BHMS is an undergraduate program in which you study about the medical knowledge of the Unani system and surgery
  • BAMS is a 5 year long bachelor degree course which includes 4.5 years of academic sessions and 1 year of internship.
  • To study and complete this degree is quite enough to become a doctor (Hakim) in the Unani medical field.

This is similar to the Ayurveda in term of the four elements and as popular as the Ayurveda.

Future Scope in BAMS/BHMS/BUMS

After BAMS: If you passed in BAMS you have great chances to become Therapist, Sales Representative, Pharmacist, Clinical Trial Coordinator, Medical Representative, Ayurvedic Doctor, Sales Executive, etc.

After BHMS: Many Job opportunities which will be offered to the BHMS graduates like,

Doctor, Pharmacist, Public Health Specialist, Medical Assistant, Lecturer, etc.

After BUMS:  The candidate who complete his degree in BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) is eligible to become a Hakeem (Doctor), Private Practice, Medical Representatives in a Government or Private Hospitals and chances to work in medicine factory.
