Indian medical systems and homoeopathy are both part of the Ayush systems of medicine. The acronym ‘AYUSH’ stands for “Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy”. Since its establishment in 2020, the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has been responsible for supervising and enforcing various regulations, including the undergraduate curriculum and syllabus of the Indian medical systems of AYUSH courses. NCISM is the competent authority to provide approval to AYUSH colleges across the country.

Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) carries out online counselling for allotment of All India Quota Seats of Undergraduate (BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) and Postgraduate (MD/MS) courses under Govt./Govt. Aided Colleges(15%), Deemed Universities (100%), Central Universities/National Institutes and also Banaras Hindu University Institutional Quota seats of Ayurveda/ Siddha/ Unani/ Homoeopathy Medical streams.

AACCC-UG Counselling

  1. 15% All India Quota UG (BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) seats under Govt./aided institutes by Govt. of all States or Union Territories.
  2. 100% UG (BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) seats under Central Universities/ National Institutes.
  3. 100% UG (BAMS) seats under Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
  4. 50% BUMS seats of AMU, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
  5. 50% BAMS & BHMS seats of NEIA&H, Shillong, Meghalaya.
  6. 50% BAMS seats of AIIA, Goa.
  7. 50% BSMS seats of NIS, Chennai.
  8. 100% UG (BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) seats of all Deemed Universities.

Eligibility for Admission to AYUSH programs

The NEET 2024 scores will be used for admission to AYUSH programmes. Process of AYUSH Counselling

  • Registration for Counselling: Candidates who have qualified the NEET exam and meet the eligibility criteria for AYUSH courses can register for the Counselling process. 
  • Choice Filling: After registration, candidates need to fill in their preferred choices of colleges and courses. This is a crucial step as the allocation of seats is based on the choices filled by the candidates.
  • Seat Allotment: Based on the NEET scores, preferences and availability of seats, the counselling authority allocates seats to candidates in various colleges. 
  • Reporting to Allotted College: Candidates who are allotted seats need to report to the respective colleges within the specified time frame with the required documents for admission process completion.

  • 8 passport-sized photographs
  • NEET 2023 admit card
  • NEET 2023 scorecard
  • Birth Certificate/High School Certificate (as proof of date of DOB)
  • Class 10 & 12 marksheets
  • Aadhaar card/PAN/Driving License/Passport as a photo ID proof
  • Provisional Allotment Letter 
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • Certificate proving one has studied Tamil till Class X (for BSMS)
  • Certificate proving class X completion in Persian, Urdu or Arabic (for BUMS)
